Over 600 trainees register for 2024 Pre-Specialist Assessment and 402 participate

Over three days, 402 OMFS surgeons participated in this formative assessment (assessment for learning rather than assessment of learning).
This assessment is created by the OMFS Section of UEMS and supporting by EACMFS with an unconditional grant from Medartis.
There were 257 completing the assessment on Thursday 6th, 41 on Saturday 7th and 104 on Sunday 8th September 2024. A total of 204 registered but did not participate. This represents a 53% increase on the 262 participants in 2023.
The nations with the most participants were United Kingdom 61, Spain 60, Italy 49, Germany 42, India 42, Malaysia 23 and Belgium 20. There were 3 nations where trainees registered but did not participate.
The nations were 100% of those registered took part were Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Jordan, Lithuania and Luxembourg.
